Brick work 101
Alright class, settle down.
Today, we're doing brickwork. With a focus on polymeric sand.
That's this weekend's work done.
Here's how it goes.
Find the center of your area and stake down a straight guide, I used a 2x6.
Then start laying down your pattern, leveling as you go.
That's the pattern I chose. Simple but looks good.
Once you have the area complete, sweep polymeric sand into all the cracks and crevices.
That's it. Now just wet it down with a hose or wait for rain. The polymeric sand forms a hard grout like material that should keep all the bricks nice and tight!

Lesson learned. Looks easy but I know it is not...
It's not complicated, but just loads of labour! It's good to work with your hands though!
Nicely done my friend. Look good.👍
Thanks 510. It was hot as balls this weekend, so it was not as easy as it could have been, lol. 110*F on Saturday! We Canucks catch fire in that kind of heat!
I have the same exact pavers in my backyard and they have been down for 10+ years. Great work @fat-elvis. These will last a long time !
Thanks silveringots. These bricks were bought used, a few years old, and about 1/4 the price. So it's fairly cheap as well!
Can't beat that!
Do you perform handyman related house calls? 😉 Looks soooo good!
Thanks Dfinney. It's all coming together.
Looking good, awesome effort and great result, cheers mate.
thanks silverbug. It's all coming along... but lots more work to do!
