A macabre coin, skull , no coin.
Do you know what a Kapala is ? I did not, but it is a cup made out of a human skull. In Hindu countries like Tibet (now China) they made such cups and decorated these with Gems.
As you can see the Polish Mint decided to make a coin out of this theme and voilá a new 2 ouncer is born.

So the next thing was to try and find a picture of a real Kapala on the internet. I am a person that first wanna see things before I believe them. And beware via Wikipedia I did find a picture of a carved skull :
