When you fall off a horse....
Life is full of dangers we all know that. Some will never happen to you but a little accident can occur every day. Yesterday was such a day for my wife. During an outdoor horseride in the afternoon her horse stumbled and she fell off followed by the horse itself.
And here is X-ray made of her left shoulder that same afternoon:
It is clear that the collar bone is broken and next monday we hear if if must be operated or not. The trauma speciliast must decided this because the fracture is close - 20% range - to the end of the bone. If not a 5 weeks sling will do.
And the horse?
The horse got up right away and continued it's run untill it thought there was something not ok. He returned and my wife walked him back to the stables - calmly due to the pain in her shoulder.
So Goldrooster is in the caring mode next weeks giving some TLC...

Oh no!!! Collar bone breaks are messy stuff. Glad the horse is alright and sorry to hear your wife is not. She will need an extra special holiday to somewhere warm when she heals.

Yikes! That's are pretty badly broken collar bone (clavicle). As a doctor, I can tell you that the prognosis is very good.

Oh my, I know exactly how that feels. I broke my right shoulder in a bike spill, twice on the same shoulder over three years. Take care of her. I still feel the odd ache there in stormy weather.
