Daily Coin # 51 A 10 Deutsche Mark 1972 Munich Olympics Silver Coin
Here is another beautiful 10 Deutsche Mark coin from the 72 Olympics ! Here is another in the 1972 Munich Olympics series of 10 Mark coins . As the others in this series it is made from .635 % silver , weighs 15.5 grams , and is 32.5 mm in diameter by 2.25 mm thick .
The obverse design features an aerial view of Munich Olympic stadium and the words : “Olympische Spiele München 26.8-10.9 1972” which translate to "Olympic Games Munich 26.8-10.9 1972" around the outer rim .
The reverse shows an eagle , the emblem of the German Federal Republic with asymmetrical wings, and the legend: “Bundesrepublik Deutschland 10 Deutsche Mark” which translates to "Federal Republic of Germany 10 Deutsche Mark"
And the mint mark G (Karlsruhe) .
The edge is smooth and lettered as the others : “Citius Altius Fortius” , "Faster Higher Stronger"
