Offshore mining IV

In my search regarding the possibilities in offshore mining, I came across this consortium of European companies who are bundling their strengths in finding solutions for sustainable deep sea mining.

This consortium is called “BlueMining”

This consortium is binding together the force of 19 large companies and look at all aspects within the value chain, from recource discovery to the exploitation of the minerals. The consortium is funded by the European Commission.

This project has started in 2014 and was ended this year after 4 years. They have shown their results in this report:

It is an extensive report and gives an oulook on the possibilities for this industry

I haven’t read this very interesting report completely yet, but I think it will be the basic of future offshore mining exploration.
