# 201 - White House

Continuing the Modern Commemoratives Dollar series, we will present you today the 1992-W "White House" graded by PCGS PR70 DCAM.

All coins of this series weight 26.73g with 90% silver purity. They were issued in Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated finish.

They will be presented in the order they were minted.

This coin was minted to mark the 200th anniversary of the White House. The cornerstone for the structure was originally placed on October 13, 1792. The building became the official presidential residence on November 1, 1800.

The obverse of the coin features a view of the north portico of the White House.

The reverse of the coin depicts the bust of James Hoban, the architect of the White House.

A total of 375,851 coins were minted in West Point. The issue price was U$28.00. The actual price is around U$175.00 in this grade.

      I love the White House (and I love George Washington's home also) because I've had some special and personal experiences in the White House. It is always a great feeling to visit the home of the first family of the land!
