Continuing the Modern Commemoratives Dollar series, we will present you today the 1994 "World Cup” graded by PCGS PR70 DCAM.
All coins of this series weight 26.73g with 90% silver purity. They were issued in Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
They will be presented in the order they were minted.
This coin was issued to celebrate the XV FIFA World Cup playoff. The final game was held in the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.
The obverse design of the coin features two soccer players running towards a soccer ball in play.
The reverse features the 1994 World Cup logo.
A total of 577,090 coins were minted in San Francisco. The issue price was U$31.00. The actual price is around U$200.00 in this grade.

I love sports coins, but I feel a little uneasy about this design. I think that the designer doesn't know how soccer is played...
