# 263 - 5 Star Generals Half Dollar
Continuing the Modern Commemoratives Half Dollar series, we will present you today the 2013-S "5 Star Generals", graded PR69 DCAM by PCGS.
All coins of this series weight 11.34g with 91.67% copper and 8.33% nickel. They were issued in Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
They will be presented in the order they were minted.
The coin was issued to recognize and celebrate the 5-Star Generals of the United States Army.
The obverse of the coin featured portraits of Generals Henry Arnold and Omar N. Bradley with the five star insignia at center.
The reverse featured the heraldic crest of Fort Leavenworth.
A total of 47,326 coins were minted in San Francisco. The issue price was U$21.95. The actual price is around U$35.00 in this grade.

There were 9 Five Star Generals in the US Military, George Washington is 6 stars and will forever be the senior and is General of the Armies, and Omar Bradley was the last one. So there are 5 coins in this series? This is my first look of this coin, and it is wonderful that the US Mint found it fitting to honor these heroes. Thank you for showing this coin.
There are three different coins. The Half Dollar above, The Silver Dollar that depicts Eisenhower and Marshall and the gold $5 that depicts Mac Arthur.
The crest design on the back is pretty cool @ronaldoavelino! It maybe mainly copper, but it is still an interesting piece for the stack.
It is a very beautiful and clean design on the reverse. I like it.
