# 277 - An Unboxing - Part 4
In 1976 Montreal, Quebec, hosted the XXI Summer Olympiad.
To commemorate and help finance Canada's first Olympics, the federal government agreed to produce a series of twenty-eight silver and two gold coins.
There are seven series of silver coins and each series has two $5 and two $10 coins.
Each series depicts different Olympic themes on the reverse and a common design (except for the date) on the obverse.
All the coins have an Uncirculated and a Proof finish.
Proof coins are more expensive than the Uncirculated ones, which trade with little premium over spot.
Each $10 coin weights 48.6g with silver purity of 92.5%.
I will show you the two Proof $10 coins of the first series. The theme is "Geographic".
The first one is a Map of the World.
The second one is a Montreal Skyline.

I had already seen these coins, but they were uncirculated. This Proof version is much more beautiful.

They are so much more beautiful with the Proof finish. The uncirculated ones have a very dull shine.
