# 337 - Jamestown
Continuing the Modern Commemoratives Dollar series, we will present you today the 2007 "Jamestown" graded by PCGS PR70 DCAM.
All coins of this series weight 26.73g with 90% silver purity. They were issued in Proof and Brilliant Uncirculated finish.
They will be presented in the order they were minted.
This coin was issued to mark the 400th anniversary of the settlement at Jamestown, Virginia. Three ships, the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery carried 105 settlers to the New World to establish the first permanent English settlement in what would become America.
The obverse of the coin presents three faces of diversity, to represent the three cultures that came together at Jamestown.
The reverse of the coin features an image of the Susan Constant, Godspeed, and Discovery.
A total of 260,363 coins were minted in Philadelphia. The issue price was U$39.00. The actual price is around U$80.00 in this grade.

No, these are commemorative coins. You might use it, for they have a $1 value, but they are worth much more than this because of the silver content and the grade and rarity.
