# 433 - Some Stamps
Between 1986-1988 Canada Post Corporation issued a series of stamps about the 1988 Olympic Winter Games that would be held in Calgary, Canada.
Designed by Pierre-Yves Pelletier, it uses a stylized, diagonal-screen interpretation of sports photographs.

Canada Post Company also minted several silver stamps. I think they ordered someone to mint them but I could not find this information.
They have 92.5% silver purity, are plated with gold and each weights 24.65g (0.8oz).
As you can see, they are identical to the stamps. They issued 10 different stamps/silver stamps, but I only have the two above.

At first I thought you were tricking us and making a post about actual stamps! But then I realized they were stamps made out of silver and gold.

Royal Canadian Mint has issued several pairs of stamp/silver stamps in some joint programs with Canadian Post Company. As I could not find these in RCM catalogs, I think they were not made by them.
