Happy Birthday Charlie — You’re 6!

Hi Friends!

A child’s birthday is a wonderful thing for a parent. Yeah, they can be a pain in the ass, and yeah they can be expensive, and particularly with young kids — they can get shitty fast! So today was a total joy!!! 😁👍

It started off with a couple prezzies for Charlie at the table right before we cooked off a bunch of bacon!

After snacking and hanging out, i zipped up to get cupcakes (above) and to get ready for Charlie’s party...

As well, if you are a parent, you will know that “B-Day” parties can be a major pain in the ass to: host, attend, coordinate, and otherwise deal with, so it was cool that we had everything dialed. Charlie had no clue what we were doing for him as we led him, and one of his pals from his Gr. 1 class, out to the street...

Boom Shock-a-locka!!! We got you a Limo buddy!!! For you and a few friends to go for a cruise through downtown Van, around Stanley Park, and back home — no gifts, no bs, no muss no fuss!

Boom, boom, pick up another 4 friends and we’re rolling! We have a Charlie playlist and the JBL and the kids are having a blast!

It was super fun, and Mrs. D was a proud mamma!!!

We handed out some “smashers” to the kids — we pulled over in the park so they could throw down a plastic orb to reveal yet more garbage in the shape of a character — and they loved it!

Back inside the ride, we handed out “Yellow Submarine” hotwheels and ate pretzels, and drank water, and listened to Charlie’s playlist, and goofed off.

Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom — drop off kids to their parents with zero drama, and we were back at where we started, and walking down our walk 3 minutes over budget. It was awesome!!!

Now above may look extravagant, but it was only 2 hours in a limo — and we did get the benzo upgrade free — and it was easy for our friends. And finally, just a totally cool, kick ass party for our gr. 1 asskicker. With no creepiness implied, it is pretty cool that Charlie and his buddy Dezi took out 4 girls from their class and partied like it was 1999!

I love my kids so much it’s crazy!!! And it feels really good to set them up for, if nothing else, the smiles and giggles and excitement, that was brought today for all of them.

“You can never go back” is true and final, so i was proud today to be a part of my kids long career of Asskickery. Hell, that motherfucker even scored an ounce off of @raybrockman today!

Thanks Ray! I told Charlie and he did the “google eyed head bobble” and said: REALLY? ...fucking gold man!

Ol’ ray came out like a bloodhound. Somehow he found a “Noah’s Ark” round for generic (Sheesh!), and a whole buncha’ other sweet-meats as well — my face felt like a “Whack-a-Mole”

...i’m reeling! My eyes are looking at both doors! I am making forward progress relative to steps at about 53% — i’m pummeled! 9 fat ounces delivered a la Brockman! Sheeee-it! That totals my whole nab-bagger +1 — talk about the nine pound hammer! — we started this thing. All i can say is: “Can’t ya hear me knocking!”
