Working for Bitcoin

Sadly i have no new silver to show off... however, there's always deals in the works at the Damex 😜🤣🤣 Hopefully soon i’ll be able to get my hands on some “allocated!” One thing is for sure, as soon as i can get an on-line order together i am deffo going to get a goat!

But not before a few responsibilities getting taken care of and a few bills get paid. And with that in mind, i set out early today to get some work done. I met up with my guy in the heart of Vancouver and loaded up a BATM3 Bitcoin ATM machine into the back of a mini-van — Wallmart style.

(It is absurd how few photos i have from today re: the btc machines, but that’s the way it goes...)

Then we picked up some hardware (concrete “wedge anchors” and a 15/16ths socket). I had with me my Bosch hammer drill, Milwaukee Grinder and some other germane paraphernalia. We hit up the Ferry at Horsheshoe bay and set off on a 90 minute boat ride to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. Here’s what this morn looked like in this part of the world.

And for the next few hours i took no photographs, but i did manage to securely fasten the BATM3 to the concrete floor — that sucker ain’t going nowhere! I should’a taken a photo, but oh well... we installed it into a cool coffee shop, and the cool thing about the BATM3 is that it has a “bill recycler,” so once it starts collecting cash (for btc/ltc sales) it can then start buying it too. Of course we seeded the machine with some cash, just so we don’t look like chumps if our first customers wanna’ sell bitcoin. Well, so my partner doesn’t anyway, the truth is that i have no “stake” in the machine we installed today, i just get hired for my services by my partner (in 2 other machines) and yes! I get paid in bitcoin!

Today i took both 😜😁🤩 cash and bitcoin — it’s a pretty sweet deal, and if it isn’t then at least it’s fun rolling around feeling like an early adopter pioneer in this space, and believe me when i tell you my partner is a super smart guy, and especially good at knowing how ALL this shit works exactly where the rubber hits the road.

Furthermore, we get along great and have plenty of laughs. And this should not be underestimated: when you get to do what you enjoy, with the people whom you enjoy, then the day just goes by a little more pleasant like. And of course it felt good to be the guy slinging tools around and getting the job done right. I have invested a LOT of time into being a dad these last couple/few years, and though hanging out with my boys and being a grilled-cheese sandwich butler is hands down the best gig i’ve ever had, it still feels good to be an adult once in a while 😜😳😍🤣

So on the way back on tge ferry we got an announcement from the Bridge: pod of Orcas of the Port side. I ran out to the gunwals —Y’Arrr! — and snapped this frame of wildlife excellence:

That leetle bit of distortion was a Killer Whale breaching! By the time i had got my phone out m, however, we were past them — or so i thought. I walked back inside and the ln anotger announcement came over the intercom: Killer Whales off Starboard! I looked, and yep! There was the straight-up proud fin of an Orca in the wild. I saw it’s markings and colours and then it was gone... didn’t get any photos unfortunately.

And then “boom,” back to the city. We hit up a 5 Guys (soooo on they were) and reconciled $ and then went our separate ways. Anyway, here’s a pic of a BATM3 (internet pic)

And best of all, “we’re” like 5-6 points under the competition — killing ‘em dead one btc tx at a time. It’s the wild west friends, but ironically in this space — Good guys finish first 👊😜
