LA Clippers shooting guard Kawhi Leonard was victorious on his return to former team the Toronto Raptors.

The 28-year-old, who switched from the reigning NBA champions to LA in July, scored a team-high 23 points as the Clippers won 112-92.

Leonard was presented with his diamond championship ring to a standing ovation before the game at Scotiabank Arena.

"We had an unbelievable season. It was a historic run in the play-offs and a great feeling," Leonard said.

Elsewhere in the NBA, the Houston Rockets' James Harden continued his high-scoring form with 55 points - his fourth consecutive score over 50 - as his side edged the Cleveland Cavaliers 116-110.

"He's incredible," Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said of his point guard. "If it was the first time he's done this, I'd be like, 'Wow. Look at that,' but he's done it at this level for years."

Ronnie O'Sullivan avoids Scottish Open handshake as 'I'm OCD about germs'

S3.jpg

Ronnie O'Sullivan comfortably brushed aside James Cahill at the Scottish Open then claimed he did not shake his opponent's hand for fear of germs.

The world number three whitewashed his fellow Englishman, to whom he lost at last season's World Championship, 4-0 to progress to the third round.

But he fist-bumped Cahill and the referee instead of crossing palms.

"It's easier to do that and I don't get any germs," O'Sullivan explained to Eurosport after the match.

"I'll admit I'm a bit OCD with germs. I don't open door handles, I always have tissues on door handles. I am a bit OCD like that."

Presidents Cup: Internationals take 4-1 lead over Tiger Woods' United States

S4.jpg

The International team took a 4-1 lead over the United States after the opening-day fourballs in the Presidents Cup at Royal Melbourne in Australia.

US playing captain Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas secured their side's only point as they beat Marc Leishman and Joaquin Niemann 4&3.

Louis Oosthuizen and Abraham Ancer beat long-hitting US pair Dustin Johnson and Gary Woodland by the same score.

"This is an unbelievable start," said International captain Ernie Els.

"We haven't had a start like this for many years.

"It's really nice to have some points on the board. There were a lot of tight matches and a lot of crucial putts, and great golf shots."

The win by Woods and Thomas over Australian Leishman and Chile debutant Niemann put the first point on the board but it was downhill from there for the US side.

Cristiano Ronaldo reacted angrily after he was grabbed by a pitch invader at the end of Juventus' 2-0 win at Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.

The Portuguese, 34, gave Juventus the lead in the 75th minute with his 128th Champions League goal, before Gonzalo Higuain added a second late on.

After the final whistle, a fan ran on to the pitch and put his arm around Ronaldo as he tried to get a selfie.

Ronaldo pushed the fan away before security staff intervened.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, who held his neck after the incident, had hugged another fan who came on to the pitch during the match.

Juventus had already qualified for the last 16 as group winners.

It was Ronaldo's third goal in as many games and his ninth of the season.

"I feel good - the annoyance I felt has passed and the team is in good shape," he said after the game.
