The Colorado Rockies and the Arizona Diamondbacks finish up their National League West Division Series this afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 2:10pm Central Standard Time and the game can be seen on National Television on Fox Sports Arizona. It will take place at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. The Diamondbacks are slight favorites at -110 and the over/under is 11 runs. The weather calls for warm temps and partly cloudy. The teams have split the first two games in this series.

The Rockies enter today’s game feeling pretty good after putting a beat down on the Diamondbacks last night. They ran up a 19-2 win as their bats exploded. Colorado would score five runs in the first inning, four runs in the second inning, 3 runs in the third inning, six runs in the fourth inning, and one final run in the fifth.
They would hit 5 home runs including Carlos Gonzalez ripping two of them. The pitching got so bad that the Diamondbacks had to use four non-pitchers to get through the game.
But today is a new day and the score will start 0-0. Kyle Freeland will head to the mound for the Rockies. Freeland is 8-6 on the year with an ERA of 3.18 and a WHIP of 1.21.

The Diamondbacks will counter with starting pitcher Robbie Ray. It will be imperative that Ray can go deep into the game as the bullpen was taxed so much on Wednesday night. Ray is 3-1 on the year with an ERA of 5.23 and a WHIP of 1.49. But Ray is yet to pitch over 6 innings this year and only threw 4.1 innings his last time out.
Paul Goldschmidt can help the Diamondbacks and Robbie Ray if he can have a good day at Coors Field. He has had a lot of success in the past and he will be key for getting Arizona on the board early.
