Today I bring you another genius of creation where this animal called Musk Ox or Musk has impacted me due to its resistance to low temperatures where it lives and especially the strength that this animal exercises to claim the right to reproduce.

The Musk or Musk Ox is a species of artiodactyl mammal of the Bovidae family. It has a certain resemblance to bovines. Its name of Musk comes from a series of secretory glands from the males, giving a function to the time of heat to get your partner. It is also said to be a subfamily of the Caprinae, the same in which they include goats and sheep, hence their coat that can reach up to one meter long.
The musk bulls as it is also known but less frequently can weigh up to 400 kg and with measures of 2 meters in length and up to 1.5 in height. They are of robust and compact texture. Its legs, tail and ears are smaller.

This species is native to Europe, specifically in the polar tundras of Norway. Due to the cold the musk oxen are prepared with a double layer of hair, which has a denser and shorter internal coat and a woolly external one, long and brown, reaching almost all the legs, bearing in mind that this coat sheds it every time winter approaches

They can reach up to 25 years of life, another characteristic of this species are the horns which is present in both sexes, only that of the female is smaller than that of the male. They can form mixed herds ranging from 10 individuals to 100 throughout the year, although this figure may vary in winter.
