A look into the future: Technology driven kitchen

High-tech kitchen concept from 2025, which you would like to see in your house today.
The population of the Earth is growing, migration is increasing, living space is decreasing, natural resources are running low, food is becoming more expensive, and economy issues are sounding more threatening. In the coming decades, our habitat will change along with our habits. Last but not least, our dwelling will be transformed, including the kitchen - the heart of any house, the center of its activity, comfort and creativity.

This is the opinion of IKEA. Swedes do not need a presentation. Who, if not them, know about our life and the comfort of home. Specialists of the company for 18 months worked in conjunction with IDEO London (a major design firm) and a group of students from Lund University and the Technical University of Eindhoven. The fruits of joint efforts have taken a real shape, by which they simply can not go by. So, what's so interesting about the guys? Consider the elements of the kitchen separately.

Cooking

What would you prefer in a compact kitchen: a large stove or a roomy table? In our case, the question is in principle not worth it. Here, the usual piece of furniture combines both the hob, and the dining table, as well as the countertop for slicing, working space and a place for games.

A well-coordinated system of several cameras and projectors recognizes the products and offers recipes based on them. The smart assistant takes into account the cooking time so that you can manage the planned without delay. The table will tell you the chemical composition of your dishes and their caloric content - it will be much easier to monitor your health. He knows how to minimize waste, not forgetting to feed all the family members.

Still not sure of their abilities? At your service is a live broadcast of cooking lessons from loved ones or any other record on the Internet. And you do not need to melt: the picture is projected directly onto the surface of the table, under which the induction coils are located. Such an electric stove automatically regulates the heating temperature. At the same time, you can not burn your hands, back and other parts of your body, if the full partner decides to immediately thank you for a wonderful dinner. And while you're busy, mobile gadgets are charged wirelessly.

Storage of products

In the kitchen of the future there is no refrigerator in the usual sense. The two-meter bandura will give way to compact shelves for storing only fresh and most needed products. The usual scheme of packing to the outset on the weekends with an aim for the whole week will go into oblivion. Unmanned drones will deliver meat, vegetables and everything-everything in just a few minutes in the best possible condition.

All food is located in a conspicuous place in a transparent dish, which practically excludes its spoilage due to your forgetfulness and inattention. You spend less on electricity and overdue purchases - the savings are obvious.

Cooling products to the required level is almost completely automated. All that is required of a person is to re-glue the electronic label from the package to the outside of the special storage container. Induction shelves count the information and set the optimum temperature. Smart dishes from a special alloy itself will switch from freezing to cooking, if it is put on a stove.

Recycling

The campaign for separate collection of garbage in the near future can get a little unexpected turn: citizens will start paying for unutilized and recyclable waste at separate tariffs. And in general the prices will grow. This will draw attention to the environment. People willy-nilly become attached to the "green movement", and they will be helped in this by home waste sorting systems.

Organic waste washed into the sink will enter the filter system, where they will be dried and compressed into briquettes.

Inorganic trash will be sorted by materials. A sensitive container will determine what the bank, bottle or package is made of, divide them, seal them in a vacuum envelope and apply a thermal label with information about the possibility of reuse.

One of the main sources of life is greatly underestimated today. But increasingly droughty years will soon change the situation. We will be more careful about the water from the tap, and by that time he will be typing innovations.

The standard sink will have two operating modes. When it is tilted to the left, the "gray" water will flow into the storage container, and later it will be used for watering plants or washing dishes.

I really liked the concept from IKEA. It seems that designers and engineers have guessed with everything: the most universal surface for cooking, compact shelves for storage, clever dishes, eco-friendly garbage collection and drainage systems. The only thing that seemed to me wrong was the timing of the project. I believe that the future can be approached for several years. Let it be and not in our region. And what do you think?
