Care for ear, avoid the use of foreign materials

in #steemstem6 years ago

Today we focus on ear, earwax and foreign objects used on keeping them clean.

    The question keeps coming daily,
  • Is it advisable to clean the ear or let the nature do its job?
  • Will it be OK to destroy the eardrum and canal than allowing the earwax to come and go in peace?
  • Do you believe that using cotton buds is the best way of keeping it clean?
  • What do the researchers say?

Researchers have warned that individual hoping on the use of foreign materials to clean off earwax is doing more harm than good to their ears. This objects is so dangerous when you look deep in flow pattern.

What one ends up doing while using the cotton swabs is pushing earwax further back into the ear ,while it suppose to be coming out.

And this is done against the eardrum which is so important for earing.

Besides cotton swabs and cotton buds, many individual do use the most dangerous objects in their ears... Like

  • Pencil cover
  • Sticks
  • Toothpicks
  • Nails
  • Hairpins
  • etc This is funny because theses objects are too dangerous to use in that body part "an organ", and should never be used to clean of earwax. These objects may cause cuts in the ear canals. Can harm the eardrum even cause more damage to hearing by touching one or two ear bones.

The question is, if using even the most safe object (cotton buds) is not safe then what can we use to clean our ears?

The answer is simple Nature. Nature is meant to produce earwax then clean unnecessary excess earwax. It is not your duty to do so but the duty of nature to remove extra earwax that are not meant to lubricate the ear any longer.

    What we need to know

Production of earwax by our body is necessary to keep our ears lubricated, clean and protected from dust. By definition,
Earwax is the protective yellow waxy substance secreted in the passage of the outer ear.
So by definition they were meant to protect us, then why removing them? Allow nature to do its job!
Naturally, as our bodies liberates earwax which gradually fill our ears, doing the following will naturally remove them, something like,
      jaw motion in form of
talking, chewing, also skin growth will remove the old ones...finally while taking your bath simply wash off those old earwax off the outer ear surface.

How will you clean off earwax if you really want to

There are alternatives that are more safe
    1. Ear irrigation
    2. source
Ear irrigation simply the process of removing excess earwax from the ear through the use of water via syringe professionally. This method is safer than using cotton buds and so on.
    3. Micro-suction
    4. source
Microsuction from the word microscope and medical suction. Using microsuction is even better than ear irrigation. Microsuction simply mean using the the device to suck out the old impacted earwax.

The ear is a sophiscated organ thus care should highly be given to it. Never use foreign objects. Allow nature to do the cleaning or meet a professional.

The funny thing is one can get addicted to regular thrusting of foreign objects into the ear in the name of cleaning the ear 👂.

I have been a fan of using foreign materials on my ears. This is really educative.. Thank you @euronation for this.

    Definitely resteeming this
