The entire cosmos represented in one image

in #steemstem6 years ago (edited)

I apologize for my english. My native language is french. I tried to do my best in english to provide you good content to the english community too.

The eye... The whole universe is in him, because he sees, since it reflects.
Guy de Maupassant

Pablo Carlos Budassi, South American, musician and artist by profession, drew the entire universe in a single circular image...

Whether you're a scientist or not, you won't be able to resist the thrill of so much beauty.

Take a moment to pause in your everyday life and admire this fascinating image that represents everything we know today of the universe! Everything everything... Nothing is forgotten, nothing is left to chance.

Pablo Carlos Budassi unveils his circular works of art showing everything that exists within our universe... Moving from Earth to the galaxy of Andromeda.

It is thus 93 billion light years that Pablo has managed to fit into a single disc...

What do these images remind you of?

What does this incredible image made by the talented artist remind you of?

To a human eye! You've got it right! And yet... It is a " real " representation of our universe!

How did he make these amazing images?

The design of these images (with respect for scale!) is based on so-called logarithmic maps, which were produced by Princeton University and images taken by NASA.

Again, I tell you, look at these images scrupulously because they show a result as accurate as the existing (and known) reality. That is to say that the scale is respected but also at the maximum (but it has not always been easy to achieve and therefore, sometimes, Pablo had to' cheat' so that it is more pleasant to the eye) the positioning and perspective of the various elements present in the image.

In fact, Pablo left the center by placing a star nebula in the background, then added the image of the Milky Way. He then had to choose the colors of the planets. He then added neighboring galaxies with images taken using the Hubble telescope.

And finally, for the large spider web in the periphery is made of filaments and black holes... Pablo here has adapted the cosmic web (the whole of billions of galaxies).

We discover the inner and outer planets, the Kuiper belt, the Oort cloud, Alpha Centauri, the Perseus arm, the Milky Way galaxy, the Andromeda galaxy, the neighbouring galaxies, the cosmic canvas, the cosmic microwave radiation and the invisible plasma of Big Bang on the edge.

And all this was of course created by photoshop.

The beautiful story behind these images

The brilliant artist had this brilliant idea when he drew hexaflexagons for his son's birthday. That's when he realized that it looked like the cosmos.

If you don't know what " Hexaflexagons "are, I invite you to discover it on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flexagon. But to summarize, they are folded figures that conceal many hidden faces.

The detailed image

I heartily invite you to contemplate this image for its artistic beauty...

But above all, I invite you to take a look and discover what lies behind in order to learn the terms that make up our universe.

Christmas gift idea:

This superb Universe is digital. What if you had it printed on an object of your choice (ring, pendant, plate, poster, etc.) to give to the sweet dreamers?

I remember you posted this already...but in French. Still as amazing ^^

Dear @lemouth, yes it is amazing, you are right.
I have seen that my english post are not well received in the english community, do you have any idea about why ?
Yesterday I joined the Steemit.chat, it was a nice experience. But I am still confuse about how I have to act overthere.
Have a wonderful Sunday,
Yours,

Yeah, it is hard to get comments sometimes. Sometimes, people vote without reading. Sometimes, people read and vote without commenting. And sometimes people read, comment and vote. We never know in advance (and I am afraid I have no explanation) :)

Thanks for your wishes (btw, it was already Monday for me when you sent it :p )
