Can You Identify This Micro-organism?
Greetings, @trumpman here.
Today I have a quick quiz for you. Can you guess what kind of cell is depicted down below? The photo is taken with the help of a regular light microscope:
If you can't identify the exact species, try a generic guess, e.g. fungi spores.
The answer will be revealed tomorrow!
Looks like yeast:)
F*** I was also going to say Sacchararomyces cerevisiae. :D
nop
ow you people are going to get so angry at me!

Ugh, that's very tiny. Might be a yeast, but the form doesn't feel right, not round enough. Maybe some bacterial spores?
Seriously, you couldn't get a bigger picture? :D
well, you are right, the form definitely doesn't feel right and it's not yeast.

well with ~1-2 µm it is too tiny for a plant (min. 50 µm) or an animal (min. 5 µm) cell. Even mushroom spores are usually at least 3 µm big. So it basically just leaves some kind of bacteria.
Maybe Synechococcus?
But that has flatter ends...
you are gonna hate me so much tomorrow, hehe
The result from google image search makes me laugh for a minute XDD
(humm.... interesting.... the "2 um" was inverted from the photo)
Chemist have really no idea what it is XDD

It's a picture of bacteria Saccharomyces cerevisiae
Saccharomyces is a yeast, not bacteria.
yes, it's a yeast cell, sorry I mislaid it
At around one micrometer, could be lysosomes, smoke particles or Staph epidermidis. The dispersion is weird. too cramped but without the patterns, I'm used to.
