Featured Author Of The Day & Can You Turn Sand Into A Liquid?
Hello there! This is @ruth-girl!
Today I'd like to give a shout-out to a remarkable girl of the steemSTEM community, @irime!!
Her science posts are so well-written that it's hard not to praise them! But apart from that she has a lot of interests including Jiu Jitsu, cinema and books! Don't miss the chance to check her out if you haven't done it already!

I wouldn't let you leave without something cool, would I? That's why I got you an awesome video! We've heard of sand dunes, sand castles and sand sculptures but sand...baths?
Yeap! It seems that you can "trick" nature and turn sand into a "liquid" just by adding air the right way. The magic is in the equilibrium! When the up-ward air force equals the sand's gravity you can turn your cat's sand box into a...swimming pool! Just make sure the sand is clean, ok?

Thank you so much for this amazing shout out! It was a really nice surprise to find this on my feed :-) (also thanks to @dber and @lemouth for the kind words, hehe).
It is exciting to see our science community growing here on Steemit, and feel really fortunate to be a part of it! I think we have talented enthusiastic writers and initiatives like @stempede can really help to give our community a boost, so cheers to that!
This looks like fantastic fun. :D
I believe this is also what makes quicksand work, only in the case of quicksand it is spring water flowing up from below that fluidizes the entire mass.
😄😇😄
