wow these Mycena cyanocephala are stunning, the markings on them are amazing and the blue disc on the base of the stem, that perfect circle as you so nicely stated is really impressive. It is very fitting that it is the connection to the mycelium. I can only imagine how excited the person was who found them. I found the Photogenic Xylaria club fungus quite fascinating also.
