Google has taken a bold step and gone beyond their traditional way by leveraging next-generation technological advancement to deliver a new navigation experience to its Map apps users.

Google had introduced this new feature known as the "Live View" earlier this year on Google Pixel smartphones. This AR feature is now set to be seen on Android 7.0 and iOS 11 as well as their later versions.

The latest development was reported by Google through their official Twitter page with the following caption:

We're giving the 🤳emoji new meaning.
See the way with #LiveView, directions placed right on top of your world to make sure you never miss a turn again. Rolling out starting today on compatible iOS and Android devices.

The AR feature utilizes GPRS location and Google Street View database to source data for the users to bring computer generated entities to reality.

Google's blog post about this latest development goes thus:

There’s nothing like exploring a city on foot – it’s a great way to take in the sights and sounds of a new place, but it can be hard to know exactly which direction to go. With a feature called Live View, you can use [AR] to better see which way to walk. Arrows and directions are placed in the real world to guide your way.
We’ve tested Live View with the Local Guides and Pixel community over the past few months and are now expanding the beta to Android and iOS devices that support ARCore and ARKit, starting this week.
