The tree turned out to be no big deal. It fell right on the driveway, rather than the opposite direction onto the power line. Our power is still off, but at least we don't have a live wire in our yard.
My neighbor came by and cleared enough so that we can drive around it. He had it done before I even finished a cup of coffee.
The more troublesome issue was the septic system backing up into the basement. I sure wish they had put in the basement floor 6" higher so that it would be above the clean out port in the yard.
Living in the country and not having a water/sewer bill is nice until something like this happens.
