According to legend, in ancient times in the Sultanate of Deli Lama, about 10 km from the village of Medan, live a very beautiful daughter and because of her beauty was given the name of Princess Green.

Beauty princess is famous everywhere. The sultan of Aceh fell in love with the princess and proposed to her to become his queen.

The Aceh Sultan's appeal was rejected by Princess Green's two brothers. The Sultan of Aceh was very angry at his refusal and humiliated. Then the war broke out between the sultanate of Aceh and the Deli sultanate.

by using supernatural powers, the Green Princess sister transformed into a dragon and the other as a cannon.

because of lack of readiness, Deli Lama sultanate experienced defeat in the war. The crown prince who transformed into a cannon exploded, split and debris scattered.

the back of the cannon catapulted to Labuhan Deli and the front of Karo highlands. The other prince who had turned into a dragon, escaped into the Deli River.

River flows take him to the Strait of Malacca. from there he continued his final journey at the end of Jambo Aye near Lok Seumawe, Aceh.

while the Green Princess was captured and put in a glass case loaded into the ship for the next to be brought to Aceh.

When the ship reaches the end of Jambo Aye, Putri Hijau begs a ceremony for him before the crate is taken off the ship. However, just the ceremony began, suddenly blowing a tremendous storm followed by very high waves.

From within the sea appears his brother who has transformed into the dragon's snake, with all his might trying to save his sister. using his big jaw, he picked up the chest where his sister was locked up and carried him into the sea. and finally Putri Hijau survived, and it is said the story, the brothers are now living peacefully on the seabed.
