International Womens Day *3
My concern with international women's day is that the idea of feminism is beginning to be portrayed in a skewed way. Take for instance the Starbucks and Ariana Grande crossover. What does that have to do with feminism? All I see is corporate abuse and commodified feminism.
If we want young women and girls to understand the core tenets of feminism, we need to educate everyone, men included on the principles of individuality and freedom. Show case the achievements of women but not to paint the picture of their achievements at the behest of men. We want gender parity, not a war.
