The mother of Bal Hanuman prays to withdraw his curse from that sage. But the sage says that whenever any person will remember Hanuman in his future for Ram Kaj, and the things of the childhood, then the powers of Hanuman will return to him.
And this is what happened to fire. Hanuman ji was able to remember his powers while helping Sita, who was trying to rescue Sita Mai from Ravana's imprisonment.
