Hey guys. So I saw this story by @scarletmedia titled "Perception #7" and it moved me to share this. This begins a series. I do hope you'll enjoy.

The rain poured like God had momentarily forgot his treaty with Noah.

Florence couldn't go to her bestie's house as she had planned that morning since she was very sure the rain won't subside anytime soon. And it was pointless watching t.v. because the power had been out since the first lightening struck.
Depressed and lonely, she sat alone on her bed in her room. Catching her phone with the corner of her eyes, she decided to chat with her best buddy (she has a best buddy for everything).

Lucky for her, Godwin was online and she sent a "Hi bb" text, getting an almost instant reply from him, as if he had been waiting for her to text him. They kept on texting and sending photos and voice notes that she didn't realize when the rain stopped.
At that time, she was no longer in the mood to go out so she snuggled deeper under her covers and let her thumbs talk to her online bestie.

Then at that moment, she got a notification from Facebook on a post she was tagged in. She reluctantly opened up the notification, not wanting to be too long away from the one person that gave her all the joy she needed. It so happened that somebody, who wasn't her friend, had commented on a very creative write-up a friend of hers posted.
Originally, she wouldn't have read it but what made her take a look at it, to this day, she doesn't know.
The comment, from a certain Collins Andrews, read,

"The fallacy of our human reasoning is that fantasies would magically realize themselves but that could happen if and only if words could leap out of pages. Unfortunately, they can't."

Florence couldn't say, but something struck her deeper than a bullet. Something about this un-cliched truth Collins had shared got to her.
Curiosity won the bet and she found herself opening his profile to view his content. Her first reaction was nothing short of pure awe.
Before her was Collins' profile picture of a well-trimmed bearded fair-skinned hunk of a male. She had never admired a human male as she admired that picture.
His jawline was jaw-dropping, his eyes twinkled a mischievous light that seemed to say "I'm way ahead of you", his cheeks were a carpet of the blackest sideburns she's ever seen on a fair-skinned person. It took all of her strength to avoid saving that picture to her phone.
Next, she checked his info in the "About" section of his Timeline and saw that he was two years and a month older than she was, had almost same likes and same basic philosophies, and best of all, were in the same tertiary institution.

By this time, Godwin had already given up on trying to get her to reply his chats so he, out of frustrated anger, went offline. Well, poor him.

Florence, still in her hypnotic state, went through Collins' posts on his Timeline, getting more and more awed by the aged wisdom of this seemingly young man. Before she knew what she did, she'd sent him a friend request, and at that instant, her phone went off.
This was the beginning of her end!!!
