Adventures with Gallium Part III
Adventures with Gallium Part III
My followers know that I like to throw in random experiments once in a while. Here is Adventures with Gallium Part II:
In Part I, I had NO idea what I was doing, and infamously tried to make a ring mold out of peanut butter : https://steemit.com/story/@goldmatters/adventures-with-gallium-making-a-silver-ring-partialfail
This time around, I was better prepared:
I got out the same Gallium I had melted, frozen, remelted and frozen again.
Sitting at room temperature it looked like this:
I delicately and precisely poured the Gallium in the ring mold with the strictest of measurements:
And ended up with the ring filled with Gallium:
I put it in the freezer next to the ... CHICKEN ENCHILADES??? The SAME chicken enchilades in Adventures with Gallium Part II???
In a panic I tried to pull the plug ( terminator reference ) and immediately speed dialed Door Dash.
See me and Door Dash have this thing:
After Door Dash saved me from the Chicken Enchilada debacle I check on my Gallium ring:
Not only did I get a nice Gallium ring:
I also got a random silvery blob:
Putting aside the silvery blob for now, I focused on the ring:
I decided to see how much I could humiliate my 42% Not Gold ring . Read about my 42% (14k) ring here: https://steemit.com/mene24k/@goldmatters/mene-24-karat-gold-ring-vs-the-other-guys-gold-jewelry-battle
I threw it on the scale:
Pathetic.
Even a Gallium ring weighs more:
For that matter even a Gallium blob weighed more:
Goldmatters Jr. wouldn’t even pose with the 42% Not Gold ring :
Reluctantly I said goodbye to my Gallium ring:
It melted away into emo nothingness:
Until nothing was left but a silver smear:
I got kind of freaked out that this would happen:
So I took a quick photo before disposing of the rest of the ring:
Thank you for joining me for another edition of Adventures with Gallium!

Haha it seems like we're going to be seeing those enchiladas in part 24...
haha 3 years from now they'll still be in your freezer lol.
You are sooo funny. This reminds me of those pinterest fail posts...where people try stuff they see on pinterest and it turns epically wrong.
Maybe you should pinterest this stuff so more people know that gold is better than gallium haha
I don’t think I could ever eat the enchilades, they are now a part of history. They will forever take up space pointlessly in my freezer and show up only for cameos. I would put it on Pinterest but I would defintely FAIL trying to sign up for Pinterest, so I’m pretty much screwed
😂😂 I'm kind of glad you'd never eat them... At this point I think I'd miss them too much of they were gone
This experiment was fun. Do you have burns on your hands? omg
No it doesn’t hurt at all :)
Hi goldmatters. Your skills are getting better. A little bit more care and you may have a job at Mene. Maybe in a few years lol.
Thanks! I’m getting there:)

Yes, everyone can tell
Sure, thanks so much your motivation grows in all your followers. Sir i will like to join you on discord or any of your community apart from steemit. Please accept my request and send me your link sir...
I am waiting for the next Target adventure...
Me too lol :)
Well if you hear something at 3am you know it's just the T-1000! Also pretty embarrassing that the gallium BLOB still weighed more than the trash ring...
So embarrassing.
That Gallium ring turned out much better than the peanut butter trial! I don't really blame Goldmatters Jr., nobody wants to be seen with a cheap gold alloy ring when they could have some 24K Menē Gold. The Gallium looks so cool to play with!
I think I am getting better!
Love your experiments .Didn't know that stuff existed. Looks like lots of fun. think you should go train with Mene first though. You won't find peanut butter there. Very informational video. Thanks for share dear @goldmatters
Yes, no peanut butter at Menē
Continue to grow in more knowledge and efficiency @goldmatters, the melted coin in #goldmoney hand is amazing shining like a diamond. I am learning more experience through your research sir @goldmatters. The way you print on the coin is a new target there are some #goldsmiths in my local area who base on that. More power to your elbow stay strong. Great news also.
Thank you, and my elbow also thanks you
Well a great experimental work.
Waiting for your next post.
Thanks
