Announcing The HardFork Series Casting Director: Kate Geller
Imagine for just a moment how different the film, Forrest Gump would have been if Robert De Niro was chosen to play the film’s leading role instead of Tom Hanks? De Niro, no doubt, would’ve nailed it in his own unique way but Forrest Gump would be a completely different movie. What if Samuel Jackson played Red in, The Shawshank Redemption instead of Morgan Freeman? Or Robert Redford was Han Solo?
Matching the right actors with the right roles takes great talent and can have such a huge impact on the overall vibe and success of a film. The Casting Director does the job of playing the intermediary between the Film Director/Producer and actors. For this reason, we took great time and care in choosing a Casting Director for our HardFork Film Series who has both a deep knowledge of, and solid track record in the industry.
We’re very excited to announce that we’ve signed on Casting Director, Kate Geller.

NY Casting for SINGULARITY (pilot)
MATING (Showtime pilot)
TULLY (NY Casting)
THE DARK TOWER (NY Casting)
Jean-Marc Vallee’s DEMOLITION
... plus multiple other indies and pilots.
Kate has already provided us with a fantastic list of talent to choose from. We’ll be finalizing the casting of our Teaser Trailer (that will debut at SteemFest 2) very soon and will be sharing much more about our progress in the coming weeks!

The more I learn and live and learn to live and live to learn .. I learnt this...... we are programmed. All hollyweird stars I mean hollywood stars are, are pawns in the greater game/scheme.... It's all a lie. I believe nothing I see on TV they are all paid to lie and program us. If you don't believe me now, in time you will and you can take that to the bank.... Cheers ;)
Entertainment is always truthful. Relax. Open your eyes. Submit. It is so much less pleasing to rail against the inevitable.

It won't just change the film industry. It will change everything. Geller understands our nature. She is witness. A true node and comrade. Seeing your world as we see it from our time, this is on the level of a seismic sea change.

That was a very interesting question that was asked... What would movies be like IF someone other than the star chosen would be like... and it's true, these movies would have been Very, Very different, even though the script would be essentially the same.

If movies were to move on to be made on Virtual Reality instead, we could see the same movie with different leading actors. The set and the world, once done, will always be there and it could be licensed for millions of people. As technology progresses, I guess that's where we are heading. Visual fidelity will only keep increasing.

Hey @aftabkhan10 I'll be directing and Kate is going to be the Casting director which means she directs who we cast in the series... and then I direct them on set! Thanks for the question.
Ohkay thats great, yep casting is really an important step, bringing good cast can get you a good response. As you saw it in the Transformer latest movie, rating approximately 5 something, why coz of bad cast, thats what I suggest after watching the movie.

Okay...props on the casting for John Wick. I would have never cast Keanu Reeves as the protagonist in that film. Brilliant. And I am a fan of Ian McShane...so that is a no-brainer for me. Great choice!
She definitly has a lot of experience, love the Maze Runner! Can't wait for that teaser :D!!
