Unlike Peter, Florence was a very decent, she almost never took any notice of her Parents wealth. She was highly intelligent. But her parents never took notice of that, all they did and had time for, was Peter.
Peter took and also neglected his parents love and tenderness towards him and did whatever pleases him absent- minded.
Mr Ike pampered and treasured Peter so much because he saw Peter as his heir and that was good enough reason, thus he never wanted his Son to lack anything, anything at all.
Mr Ike always had the belief that a male child has more value than a female.Not that he did not love the girls, of course, were not only they his children? but he did not cherish them as he should.
