Peter had a teacher who comes to their house three times a week to prepare him for his upcoming Senior Secondary Certificate Examination, SSCE. Peter never liked the idea of a teacher coaching him, he liked using his afternoon hours to play games and watch TV.
He knows his parents are always out so he would instruct the gatekeeper, Adamu, not to open the gate for the teacher, whenever he was around.
The teacher who was fondly referred to as 'teacher' would come around and would knock and knock and knock the big giant gate until his hands become weak. Peter as well disconnected the visitor's bell from the gate.
