1897 Krishnaswamy, the headmaster of the town high school, entered the children's class. There is no smile on Sir's face. Everyone is afraid of him like a yam. Krishnaswamy looked at everyone once. Then he said, ‘Do you know, if you divide a number by that number, the quotient is always 1?’ Krishnaswamy looked into the eyes of the children and realized that they did not understand well The teacher said again, ‘Hold on, you have 5 mangoes. If five friends are divided equally, everyone will get one. That is, if you divide 5 by that number, the answer will be 1. 'Krishnaswamy looked at the children again. This time no one had difficulty in understanding. Krishnaswamy smiled a little proudly.

Suddenly a boy raised his hand from behind. He wants to ask questions. The teacher was surprised. No one ever questions him. He tapped the stick in his hand and said, "What do you want to know?"

Hearing the question, the sky seemed to fall on Krishnaswamy's head. What a bizarre question! He saw the students smiling. He rebuked the rude boy in anger. But he recognized the face. Krishnaswamy thought about this question for several days. He has no answer. Fell to a small child. The teacher can't accept in any way. He found out the name and identity of the boy. My father works for a small salary of 20 rupees. He won Krishnaswamy's mind with his talent. The boy's name is Srinivas Ramanujan.

December 22, 18 Ramanujan was born into a poor Brahmin family in Erode, Tamil Nadu, India. His father Srinivas Iyengar was an accountant in a clothing store. Mother Kamalatammal used to earn a little money by singing in a local temple. At the age of five, Ramanujan was admitted to a local school in Kumbakonam. He was admitted to town high school at the age of 10. At this time SL Loni's trigonometry was found in the school library. Began to learn alone. Within a year he learned all the formulas of ‘trigonometry’. Ramanujan likes the book. He did not like sports. He used to read that math book all day long. He used to solve various mathematical problems.

Ramanujan was then 18 years old. GS Carr's book, A Synopsis of Elementary Results in Pure and Applied Mathematics. A new world opens up in front of Ramanujan. How many theorems, mathematical data, new formulas. Discover new mysteries in each number. Solve the theorems on your own. There is no one to show him. At that age, Ramanujan discovered a new method of constructing magic squares.

After passing matriculation, Ramanujan was admitted in the government Kumbhkonam College. He used to get scholarship money from that college every month. That would have gone to the cost of tuition. But in the first test of the FA class, he failed in subjects other than mathematics. As a result, the scholarship is closed. He did not like anything other than mathematics. So never read another book. Due to the closure of the scholarship, the lessons are almost closed. There is no expectation of getting expenses from parents then. So he left the college and fled to his own village. Mathematics is practiced there. At that time he was working on a metaphysical series. As well as trying to determine the relationship between the integral and the series. He later realized that he was actually working on an elliptical function.

In 1906 he was re-admitted to a college in Madras. If you can't pass college, you can't get admission in that university. This time too Ramanujan's luck did not help. He was ill for three months before the test. As a result, he again failed in other subjects besides mathematics. This time he gave up his studies completely. On July 14, 1909, he married 10-year-old Janaki at the behest of his mother.

He does household chores and practices mathematics from time to time. He solved complex mathematical problems and sent them to the Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society. At this time the mother pressured for a job. Then Ramanujan contacted Collector Ramchandra Rao. Ramchandra was amazed at Ramanujan's mathematical talent. He asked Ramanujan to go to Madras and study mathematics. And he arranged a monthly stipend of 20 rupees. In 1912, Ramanujan got a job as a clerk in the Madras Port Trust. Ramanujan was known to the teachers of Madras University. He also got some acquaintance by solving mathematical problems. So I didn't have to burn wood to get a job. Then Ramanujan's colleague SN Iyer. He was also proficient in mathematics. In 1913, Iyer published an article entitled On the Distribution of Primes, based on the work of Ramanujan. He sent the text to H. G. Hardy and a few other mathematicians. Hardy showed interest. Ramanujan is the son of a Brahmin. You can't cross Kalapani in England if you want to. Without it, his mother would not leave his son. Hardy was fascinated by Ramanujan's math skills. He also had some confusion in his mind. Because, the way Ramanujan solved the problems, no one has done it before. So if Ramanujan's math is correct, then the world will be agitated. So Hardy persuaded Ramanujan and promised to help with the publication. Ramanujan agreed. Eventually the mother's consent was obtained. Ramanujan arrived in England in 1914.

Going there, he got into new trouble. Problems with food. Again, do not eat other people's cooking. Apart from that, there is the problem of winter. Hardy had no less trouble. The problem was compounded by the fact that Ramanujan did not have an official degree. Hardy and his student Littlewood tried hard to get him admitted to Cambridge University. Hardy and Ramanujan regularly discuss mathematics. The more you see this genius in mathematics, the more Hardy becomes fascinated. However, not all the problems that Ramanujan solved were right. Littlewood was given the task of correcting Ramanujan's mistake. Ramanujan had another problem to solve. He discovered mathematical formulas, but he did not have the solution. But this rule does not work in England. If there is a question, he must also have the answer. Ramanujan looked at the solution of them anew.

During this time he published seven more papers. He has worked on mathematical analysis, numerology, infinite series, recurring fractions, gamma functions, modular and many more series and series. Ramanujan fell ill in 1918. Day after day the illness becomes more serious due to food problems. In 1918, with Hardy's help, he became a member of the Royal Society. In the same year he became a member of Trinity College, Cambridge.

Ramanujan moved to India in 1919. He came to India and fell ill again. After that he did not recover. This magician of mathematics died on 26 April 1920.

Hardy thought Ramanujan was a mathematician equal to Euler and Gauss. Ramanujan has dedicated his life to mathematics. In his memory, December 22 is celebrated as IT Day in India every year. The movie The Man Who New Infinity was released with Ramanujan in 2015.
