देकर और 2 अक्टूबर गांधी को जन्म देकर जो पद पा गई थी , वही।

विक्रमी शनिवार प्रात: लगभग 9 बजे भगत सिंह को जन्म दे
गई।
प्राचीन साहित्य में संस्कृत के कवियों ने महापुरूषों
के जन्म पर
प्रकृति को प्रभावित होते-बादलों का घिर आना या छट जाना, पुष्पों
का असाधारण रूप से खिल उठना, इत्यादि दिखाया है। भगतसिंह
के जन्म पर प्रकृति पूरी तरह प्रभावित हुई ,पर राष्ट्र की राजनीति
के रूप में, जैसे उसने अपने इशारों में साफ कहा हो कि आज
राजनीति का एक भावी कर्णधार जन्मा है। उस दिन उनके चाचा
सरदार अजीत सिंह के निर्वासन समाप्त होने की सूचना मिली और
उसी दिन उनके पिता सरदार किशन सिंह और उनके छोटे चाचा
सरदार स्वर्णसिंह जेल से रिहा हुए। सबने उन्हें भागों वाला-भाग्यवान
कहा, और इसी से उनके दादी श्रीमति जय कौर ने उनका नाम रख
दिया भगतसिंह।
