और अब वे हो गए थे ढाई-तीन साल के। उन दिनों खेतों में
बाग लग रहा था। ज़मीन तैयार हो चुकी थी और उसमें आम के
पौधे रोपे जा रहे थे। सरदार किशनसिंह अपने मित्र श्री महतानन्द
किशोर के साथ अपना बाग देखने के लिए खेतों पर गए।
भगतसिंह भी साथ थे। पिता को उंगली छोड़ वे खेतों में बैठ गये
और खेतों में तिनके जमीन में रोपने लगे। आश्चर्य से महता जी ने
कहा-आप का बेटा तो अभी से किसान बन गया है और पौधे रोप
रहा है।
