MY SHORT STORY ABOUT BUTTERFLIES AND HUMANS IN LIFE
Talking about butterflies we can not only say about the beauty of the blend of colours and shapes of the butterfly, but we can also take lessons from the process of life of butterflies.
Since childhood, we already know butterflies. It is not surprising because we often see the age of toddlers has been introduced with the name butterfly for example through songs, pictures, videos or other.
Images of butterflies are widely used in almost all objects around us such as clothes, mats, door-window glass, paper walls, curtains, tablecloths, bed sheets, glasses, trash cans, pendulum necklaces, brooches, ties, socks, mouse pads, key chains and many more.
This shows that butterflies are animals that many humans like. It could be liked because of its colourful patterns on the body, especially the wings, symmetrical and balanced.
Many people like the look of the butterfly, but very few people like the original form of the butterfly itself, the caterpillar! Some feel amused, not even often who feel disgusted. Even though we know that both are the same creature.
All types of butterfly life through the egg phase, caterpillar, cocoon which eventually morphed into butterflies or moths. I am not here to talk about the difference between butterflies or moths. I just want to show the insects that the butterfly group that I met for weeks were in the protected forested hills.
My arrival in the hills was not to collect all kinds of insects or deliberately collect images of butterflies, but in carrying out my daily tasks I often found many butterflies and captured them through my camera phone.
In this hilly area, it is easy to find a variety of relatively short-lived insects. The places where the butterflies turned out were not only in the middle of the wilderness that I entered, the butterflies were also easy to find on the walls of residents' houses, buildings such as schools or village halls and others. I also found butterflies on the edge of village roads, suburbs near Uteunkot hill, even in the bathroom.
Tropical butterflies can lay eggs more than once a year. Generally, butterflies can live with the intake of sucking honey from flowers, sucking liquids from fruit that falls on the ground (rot), and wet soil. This is very different from the caterpillar phase, they eat leaves.
The benefits of butterflies in addition to the beauty of body patterns, especially the wings, they are also as insect pollinators. On the other hand during the caterpillar phase, he can be a very serious pest.
Aceh has species up to 2500, 20 of which are protected. Aceh is the second country after Brazil in the most variety of butterflies. Will these butterflies become extinct if deforestation continues to occur and more cropland is reduced?
As already stated above that to become a butterfly he must follow the phases of life ranging from eggs, caterpillars, pogs and transformed into creatures called butterflies. Humans are the most perfect creatures, but humans can learn from the perfection of the butterfly's life phase. The perfection of butterflies can be a symbol of the perfection of life.
The Human life in general can be assumed to be the same as the phases that are passed in the life of a butterfly. Butterflies are able to make drastic changes from their origin which is only a caterpillar! He is able to make tremendous changes in his life (phenomenology metamorphosis).
The Humans experience birth, reach the beginning of the puberty with a variety of insistence on lust but have the ability to think (contemplation), temporary death and ultimately an amazing eternal life.
Will we be able to enter the day of resurrection after our long death is like a butterfly that many people like with beautiful, colourful wings?......
