Sing for real king
Akbar said to Tansen one day - Tansen, if you sing so well then how good your guru would sing. We have to listen to his song.
Tansen said - Jainpanaah, my guru Swami Haridas lives in the forests and he is the master of his own free will. If you have a mind, then you sing. No king or emperor can tell them to sing But yes, if you have any desire, then I can do it.
On the second day Akbar and Tansen went to Haridas in the forests. By reaching there, Tansen triggered a rage. Tansen was singing with great talent. The atmosphere had become cloudy. Tansen deliberately took a wrong turn. Upon listening to this, Haridas swore from there and started singing himself. There was magic in their voice. Akbar was very pleased
While returning, Akbar asked Tansen - Tansen, you too do so hard and riyaz, but why is not your soul like Haridas?
Tansen responded on this - Japhenah, I sing for my King - that is, and Swami Haridas for his King - that is, God, that's why!
