N.R.A. Suggests Trump May Retreat From Gun Control
Trump is entirely wrong on this. And it doesn't solve the problem in any event. The problem has never been guns because the problem has always been the kind of people our society produces. And we've been getting steadily worse.
None of what Trump did or said gives me confidence he has any comprehension of the Constitution. I was really hoping that after Mr. Obama, our worst president EVER, and almost entirely because of his abject ignorance as to our Constitution that we might get a president who understood that his oath was to uphold, protect, and defend, the CONSTITUTION. For most of his term Trump has, but I never thought he was doing so by design.
