Morning beautiful Stemians! It's Friday!!!! We had  a lovely walk this morning at the beach. @sunnylife was freezing lols but grateful for the sun. The sun was shining so bright and the skies were blue. I could see all kind of seashells laying on the sand. 

My son and I used to collect a lot of them. Collecting shells is very therapeutic, very relaxing. When we collect them we give it away to friends or make something creative out of it, color it, make bracelets etc. It's so much fun to do. 

This  particular shell caught my attention. I like it a lot for decoration. I was about to pick it up, but suddenly something came outside hahaha there was a living creature inside! I couldn't believe it because the shell looked like empty from the outside. 

My husband picked it up and wanted to throw it back to the sea. I said " Oh, I thought it was dead" He replied " No, it's not, you cannot carry it at home" Me: huh! too bad he?  My husband threw it back in the ocean and we walked further. 

Then, I saw another one, two and three!! They were all alive. My husband kept throwing them back in the water to survive. I was also happy when I found some empty shells. I brought them home and showed them to my son.

This made me realised  something. Why can't we appreciate things without the desire to own them? Why I wished the shell was empty and dead, just to be able to take it home? Why I didn't see the beauty of the creature living in it's house? 

Because, I was greedy and I was only thinking about myself and not thinking about that there was somebody in there that I might hurt. Most of the time, when somebody is hopeless and down, we take advantage of him without realizing  that this person needs help. The little creature inside was hopeless and couldn't move because it was trapped inside,  without  water it couldn't do much.  

This shell taught me a lesson today, to be more sensitive for others and not to think only  about me, I and myself.
