Ren du Lot was happy. For a long time he had admired from afar the castle of the Duke de Piezankap (what a strange name, by the way). And now he was there, talking to the Duke and his son Harchtchy.

Of course, he was there to discuss the prenup contract before the wedding of Harchtchy and Bettonika, the son of Count Geussuizain Branleur.

The discussion did not last long, as both the Count and the Duke wanted the kids to keep their wealth separated.

To be able to draw the contract, he has to get all the names of the Duke and his son. So, he learned that the Duke's first name was Harmeh and that Harchtchy has the middle name Handrouzh. Apparently, it was a tradition in the Duke's family that all males have first names starting with an 'H'.

Afterward, the Duke proposed to Ren du Lot to visit part of the castle. During the visit, he learned that it was a copy of Marlinspike Hall, in Belgium, itself a copy of parts of the Château de Cheverny, in France.

On the back of the castle, he could admire the French formal gardens, and not far the river Dale, flowing languorously to the East.

Ren du Lot was happy.
