The Getaway—The Beginning

The time was 6:32 am when he opened his eyes.
He had stayed up most of the night and early hours of the morning, trying to round up the work he had for the week. It was finally time for the much-awaited getaway vacation. It had been a countdown all week long, filled with expectations and daydreams of what it might turn out to be.

His phone rang, as his mystery hostess called to remind him of the trip. He was still in limbo at that time, due to the short sleep time he had gotten. The vibrations finally got to him and brought his mind back to reality. With a smile on his face, Tony took the call and the stress of the previous night was all washed away the moment he heard her voice on the phone. It was going to be a beautiful day, he thought to himself.

Miss mystery was already packed and ready to go, and just wanted to verify if Tony was still all-in and when he would be leaving for the heliport. Since the cancellation time for their reservation at the island would end in a few hours. Tony was all-in until the call ended. Her last words, "See you soon Tony", caused a mind switch. He was no longer in the mood for the trip, the perks of been bipolarly-reserved (if there ever was a word like that). His mind began to wonder about what he might encounter.
What if she was a serial killer? He asked himself, “Or an ugly possessive girl, or just out-rightly crazy with a communicable disease” he wondered. He was also reminded of his hate for large bodies of water. All this gave Tony a reason to sluggishly get ready for the trip. But he eventually did and it was time to leave for the Heliport.

Tony arrived on time, only to be made aware that the flight had been grounded due to bad weather. Was fate giving him a sign he wondered? He waited for a couple more hours before he could finally leave for Island. Finally, it was time to see the mystery dame.
Tony got to the hotel with ease, he called Miss Mystery and she was still en route. So he decided to go to the beach and watch his forbidden fruit bring joy to all who jumped in and out of it.

A familiar figure approached tony from the hotel, she was the one. He had seen pictures of her but realized how un-photogenic she was. My oh my, she was…..

He stood up and walked up to her and…….
