How Long Is Too Long To Stay At A Denny’s
At a restaurant like Denny’s that has very obvious rush times, the question was posed, of how long it’s acceptable to stay and hangout (or write Steemit Articles :)
As a rule, most restaurants go to specific lengths to increase the turnover. For the servers, they want the most amount of tables in the shortest amount of time, to create the highest amount of revenue from tips, and for the restaurant, the more people that come in, the more money they make. Some examples of tactics used include; making the temperature colder, rushing the check out to you as soon as you have food, or even making the chairs uncomfortable.
So then what are we to think about Denny’s? Their booths are lush and accommodating. They bring large pots of coffee with the order of a single cup. And the music they play is mellow and inviting.
There are plenty of lists on the internet about what not to do, and the Thrillist doesn’t disappoint by having one about restaurants https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/things-you-should-never-ever-do-in-a-restaurant
BUT! You’ll notice, nowhere on there does it say how long is too long to stay.
For my money, it seems the best advice is to read the room. If the place is empty and you aren’t ordering too many refills seems to me you can camp (as long as you tip well.) If it’s busy during a meal rush, finish your meal and go the “f” home.
As for me, I think I’ll have one more Diet Coke, and finish this article.

I suppose it's all in the tip, right? The server needs that table. I haven't been to a Denny's in a long time. Do they have free wifi?
