#Ulog 18- My Sunday Summer Get Away! And A DATE? But not on the beach or classy resorts with me and my wife @mama-imee have eaten but not on a fancy restaurant

in #streetfood6 years ago (edited)

Its a very hot Sunday afternoon here at Mangaldan Pangasinan Philippines. Its burning hot like your on a middle of a desert! Usually, when its summer, people go to beaches, resorts or on a Shopping Mall to beat the summer heat. But as for me and @mama-imee, we prepare to take just a walk to the nearest Wet Market.

Oh we really dont mind the heat of the afternoon sun, although i felt it and my sweat start running from my head down to my chin, good thing i brought a red small face towel to wipe my sweat.

Thats me eating a hot "lugaw with egg", im sweating hard while eating this food.

We are really planning to eat at Jollibee or Greenwich or Mang Inasal, but we are very surprise on the amount of people on each fast food that i mentioned. A lot! Looks like every people on Mangaldan Pangasinan decided to get out on their houses to refresh their day. This is so great! So, i dont want to fall in line to make our orders, i mean, even we get our food, where we gonna eat it? I saw people already standing near tables to wait for their turn to seat. Then here we are, ended eating "lugaw with egg" at the street haha! Really amazing! Well, i cant complaint...the food is good and very affordable php15 ONLY! Lol! and @mama-imee ordered "pansit mami" for only php20!
Oh my! Are we insane! Taking a date on the street and eating "street foods" too.

Well, take a look at this photo of people that eating "lugaw with egg", "sopas", and "pansit bihon". A lot of people come to this side of Wet Market where street vendors sell any street food that all filipino loves to eat. Other street vendors have a decent cart, unlike this vendor using a wooden table only. It happens that im a "suki" or a very loyal customer of the lady and her two daughter, for almost 7 YEARS! Yes its true, they selling food here since 2012!

They have a good side of story to tell and the good part is her two daughter both graduated in college because of selling street foods. Kudos to all street vendors!

This is a very common food, it is called "pansit mami" best serve while its hot.

In my beautiful country which is Philippines, street selling or street vendoring are so popular, you can see them on every town near market places, or on every corner of the streets near houses, schools, offices, near the beach, almost every part, just as long people recognized it or appreciate it.

Thats @mama-imee ordering for a take out.

You see guys, on my good point of view, there is a good thing too if you eat on this kind of place, although it is not really presentable or cozy, it is the way people connecting to eachother, they are "human". Not a popular place and some simple people who is struggling to make a living, simply yet...amazing.
