We found another near us - although more remote - my guess is simply the owner had no more living relatives to pass on to, and left no will leaving it to anyone else. I’m not sure if the council can claim it after a certain time empty, but of course as soon as people realised it was empty it got broken into and stripped of everything of value. Then kids just smashed every window and door so it’s open to the elements and exposed. !COFFEEA
