Sublime Sunday: Winds Of November

The clocks were set back a hour last night as the fierce November wind howled and moaned as if in protest.

Hubby and I took a drive into Charlottetown. I wanted to pick up some groceries at a certain store. The stores don’t open until noon on Sunday so we took a little drive down by the water.

Tall trees swayed and squeeked, signs could be seen ripped from their posts and garbage cans were bowled over in some driveways.





The whipping wind had turned the water into a reddish colour. Birds were having a hard time staying on course as they dipped and dived over the water.

It was impossible to try to get a photo of them. As I tried to open the car door the angry wind rearranged my hair and had it standing at attention.

By the time I did my shopping the wind had calmed down and we stopped to check out Kelly’s Pond before returning home.

It was a windy Sublime Sunday here on the Island. The winds of November have blown most of the leaves off the decidous trees.
