Some scientists explain the real cause of addiction as evolutionary. In the past, a small amount of sugar in the nature quickly and easily was a source of energy. That's why our brain evolved to find the energy that gave fast energy and to get it. However, the main debates suggesting that sugar is addictive started as a result of the experiments.
