A few photos of Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia
While celebrating our Granddaughters 21st birthday recently we also managed to spend a couple of nights in Surfers Paradise at the Beachcomber Apartments.
We were put in a Studio apartment on the 31st [top] story with marvelous views over the beach and sea.
An interesting feature was a dividing screen between the lounge and the bed, with 4 louvered doors that could be closed and the shutters adjusted so the flickering of the TV screen would not affect some one trying to sleep.
Even at night the beach and footpath area was very well lit, giving a feeling of safety for a late night stroll on the beach.
The weather while we were there was so calm that even the early birds couldn’t find a wave to ride in on.

Looks beautiful, the Beach is amazing :)
Every morning, before dawn, they run beach cleaners across the sand to level it and remove any unwanted objects, leaves the beach " perfect" when they have finished.
The beach is about 10 to 15 km long, they have to work hard to beat the sun up.
It looks well looked after, I'm not a beach fan but would love to spend sometime here :)

Days without clouds, cool at night for good sleep, right in the centre of Surfers.
What more could you want? Travel in a 3 door Bambina? With your sister driving?

Bags in the boot, Mum in the back seat, the shocks sounding like they were no attached at one end, and a driver who didn't really know where we were going.

Looks like a dream come true.
It is a great place, I think we saw 5 clouds while we were there, and the temperature was 6 to 8 degrees C higher than home.
Wow, I have a coworker that used to be a huge surfer when he was younger on the West coast of the US. I'm gonna show this to him :)
In season the surf is well known, hence the name " Surfers Paradise".
While we were there there was virtually none, but by the number of "Surf Patroller/Life Savers areas" on the beach it is a popular place.
