So-called virtual currency, will bitcoin become a paper currency? The start-up Tangem, in Zug, launches into this project with well-known personalities of the crypto valley. Kudelski participates in security screening

Bitcoin remains an object of debate, even on its definition. This is only a virtual asset for the authorities, a digital currency for its supporters. While supporters and opponents clash, a Zougoise start-up tries to reconcile the two worlds.
Tangem, headquartered in the crypto-valley but also present in Singapore, has launched the project that aims to issue bitcoin notes, according to a statement. "The circle is closing," says financial website Finews.ch. The latter adds that, among the founders of the start-up, we find the former head of the UBS subsidiary in Moscow, Anselm Schmucki, two computer experts, Andrey Kurennykh and Andrew Pantyukhin and the Zug law firm MME, specialized in cryptocurrency.

Tangem does not talk about banknotes, and for good reason, but a smart banknote platform, that is to say a smart ticket platform. The sale starts in a Singapore store, with 0.01 bitcoin (93 francs) and 0.05 bitcoin.
