Bali Food Guide - #17 Roti Daal, Berawa
Since I´m laying in bed with a cold it was time for some healthy vegetarian food yesterday night. We tried out a new indian restaurant called Roti Daal here in Berawa on Bali.
I only heard good things about that restaurant and we were not disappointed.
First I thought that I´m going to have a nice Tandori Chicken, but the place is completely vegetarian, so no chicken for me!
Da ich mit einer Erkältung im Bett liege, war es gestern Abend Zeit für ein gesundes vegetarisches Essen. Wir haben ein neues indisches Restaurant mit dem Namen Roti Daal hier in Berawa auf Bali ausprobiert.
Ich habe nur gute Dinge über dieses Restaurant gehört und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht.
Zuerst dachte ich, dass ich ein schönes Tandoori-Huhn haben werde, aber der Ort ist komplett vegetarisch, also kein Huhn für mich!
The place is really nice with seating inside and outside. As soon as you open the door you can smell these typical indian spices.
Der Ort ist wirklich schön mit Sitzgelegenheiten drinnen und draußen. Sobald Sie die Tür öffnen, können Sie diese typischen indischen Gewürze riechen.
The menu is pretty easy to understand. You first choose a combo, called Thali. You can choose between 1 or 5 of the daily changing vegetarian dishes. Rice and Roti is always included in the price. Additionally you can purchase some add ons like extra rice, roti or yoghurt for example.
Apart from the mains you, there are also some appetizers like Samosa to choose from.
Das Menü ist ziemlich einfach zu verstehen. Man wählt zuerst eine Combo mit dem Namen Thali. Man kann zwischen 1 oder 5 der täglich wechselnden vegetarischen Gerichte wählen. Reis und Roti sind immer im Preis inbegriffen. Zusätzlich kann man einige Zusatzprodukte wie zum Beispiel zusätzlichen Reis, Roti oder Joghurt kaufen.
Neben den Hauptgerichten stehen auch einige Vorspeisen wie Samosa zur Auswahl.
We´ve chosen the Maharaja Thali which consists of 5 dishes of the day + the rice and roti with garlic. The food was absolutely flavorful.
We had the Daal Tadka, Chole a Samosa and other delicious dishes.
Additionally we got 4 different typical sauces and dips which rounded up the dinner.
All in all we can highly recommend that nice little indian restuarant on bali. Don´t miss it while you´re there.
Wir haben uns für das Maharaja Thali entschieden, das aus 5 Tagesgerichten + Reis und Roti mit Knoblauch besteht. Das Essen war absolut schmackhaft.
Wir hatten die Daal Tadka, Chole und Samosa und andere köstliche Gerichte.
Zusätzlich gab es 4 verschiedene typische Saucen und Dips, die das Abendessen abrundeten.
Alles in allem können wir das nette kleine indische Restaurant auf Bali sehr empfehlen. Verpasse es nicht, während du dort bist.
