Uncle Don's Taipan
Me and my wife wanted to treat the entire family for a nice dinner and we wanted to have a different experience appart from the local food we normally have for dinner. So we decided on Uncle Don in Taipan, Subang Jaya.
This place is well known for always being filled with patrons at almost every night of the week. I've always wondered what was so great about it so I guess it was my time to try it out.
The first look at the menu, everything seems pretty normal. The prices seems reasonable enough. I was still not convinced as to what was so great about this restaurant as everyone says its really really amazing food.
After placing the order, we could see more patrons walking in and by 7pm this place was packed with people.
Our food came in a pretty short wait and here were some of the dishes we have ordered.
A thin crusted pizza which just tasted perfect and with its thin crust, it made you wish you had more. First dish was satisfying good.
Next was the Pork Burger ! And ohhh my !!! This had the perfect blend of flavours when you bite at it. The patty was cooked to perfection and was seriously great in taste. A bit Plus on this..
And when you think you already had great taste ... it keeps coming. These nachos were cooked to exceed my expectations. The cream sauce dip in the middle made the nachos taste just spot on. Cruncy inside , with the cheese mix .... mmmmhmmmm....
This stuffed chicken breast was the longest to arrive however the wait was well worth while. I wished I had taken photos of the inside of this, but I was too busy eating it as it taste so so so good !
Uncle Don's did not only pay attention to the details and taste of its food. Even the drinks were just right. Not too sweet nor was it too blend. I ordered the Mango Smoothie and I really liked it as it had all the right flavour without being too sweet.
After going here and dining at Uncle Don's , I now know what the fuss was all about and why its always filled with people. Yes they do not accept bookings as if you want a space .. just walk in early else take a number !
It was a great experience for the family and great amazing food. I do recommend bringing your family there....
As for the cost to eat there .. for a meal for 6 .. the bill only came to about RM145 which is about USD30 ?? A bargain for sure ! Thats surely my pick for the week.

Ah! I only went to SS2 outlet, but didn't take any photo on that one due to having too much fun bromance with my buddies. Food price is indeed super reasonable! Usually we will order 2 plates of porkchops for each of us. In the end, the table will have 6 serving dishes and looks like after world war :D
